Darren and Rushka’s wedding day was truly magical, filled with love, laughter, and beautiful moments that I was lucky enough to capture through my lens. The couple’s special day took place in December 2022, at the stunning Zonnevanger Wedding Venue in Paarl. The wedding’s theme colors were purple and lavender, which perfectly complemented the picturesque surroundings of the venue which included lavender fields.
As I arrived at the venue, I was immediately struck by the beauty of the location, with its lush green gardens and elegant historic architecture. The weather was perfect, with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze, setting the scene for a truly unforgettable day. The wedding venue was decorated with exquisite floral arrangements and stunning centerpieces, all in shades of purple and lavender, which created a romantic and dreamy atmosphere.
As the ceremony began, Rushka made her grand entrance, looking absolutely breathtaking in her stunning wedding dress, which was perfectly complemented by her bouquet of purple and lavender flowers. As Darren was waiting for her at the altar, looking dapper in his tailored suit, and it was clear from the looks they exchanged that they were both filled with love and excitement for this long awaited day ahead.
The ceremony was heartfelt and emotional, with the couple exchanging their vows in front of their family and friends. The love they shared was palpable, and it was a joy to capture their special moments on camera.
After the ceremony, we took some stunning photos of the newlyweds around the venue’s lavender fields as well as vineyards, which provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding portraits. The reception area had been transformed with beautiful purple and lavender accents, and accentuated with all the fairy lights. The speeches were touching, the food was delicious, and the dancing was lively, with the newlyweds leading the way on the dance floor.
It was an honor to be a part of Darren and Rushka’s special day, and I am grateful to have captured these beautiful memories for them to cherish forever. The wedding was a true reflection of their love for each other, and I wish them all the happiness in the world as they embark on their new journey together.
